Build a 1 to 250Mhz FM TX with nothing else than a RaspberryPi

Some smart people managed to write software that turns a RaspberryPi into an FM transmittor between 1 and 250 MHz ...
All you need to do is connect a wire to a GPIO pin as an antenna !

Isn't that the coolest project for a RaspberryPi so far ?

Check it out:

Of course if you really want to get on-air with this no doubt some filtering at the "output" may be required... :-)

Very nice new SDR project for the Beaglebone !

KiwiSDR: BeagleBone Software-defined Radio (SDR) with GPS

What is KiwiSDR?

KiwiSDR is a software-defined radio (SDR) covering shortwave, the longwave & AM broadcast bands, various utility stations, and amateur radio transmissions, world-wide, in the spectrum from 10 kHz to 30 MHz. The KiwiSDR is a custom circuit board you connect to an inexpensive BeagleBone Black or Green computer. Add an antenna, power supply, internet connection, then install the software package to be running in minutes.
