Very Low Frequency

Where as commercial radio communications are moving ever higher in frequency because of the bandwidth they need, there are in fact a number of Ham Radio enthousiasts that are doing quite the opposite.
And I'm not talking about the in some countries relatively new low frequency bands in the Mid Wave range e.g. the 500 kHz band, or even the Long wave range.

Arduino battle ends in peace !

For those who have been tinkering with arduino for a longer period have very likely heard of the legal battle that has been going on between "arduino.cc" and "arduino.org" who both where developing independent from each other after a conflict between the original founders of arduino took place.

The good news is that after 2 years of legal battle the outcome is that both agree to join forces and settle their differences.

Radio Astronomy

Thanks to Marc, ON3LAW, I've visited a very interesting Astronomy event and had the chance to look through some nice and large telescopes.

Being a Radio Amateur of course I was curious if anybody was doing any observations based on radio waves
( ... Or using radio-waves of lower frequency that light :-) )

To my surprise however I've learned that despite some very passionate Amateur Astronomers present at this event, nobody there did any Radio Astronomy.
