How nice would it be to control your own transceiver from the little homebrew project you've been building ?
Not impossible, most transcievers have a remote control and the manual has with some luck the protocol, instructions, format how the control commands need to be send...
However this might be a hell of a job for the goal you've had in mind, so you probabely wouldn't jump into this kind of monster-job...
